The Monastery of San Zoilo

The monastery of San Zoilo is almost exactly half way along the Camino. It was an important location on the route, with a hospital for pilgrims.
It was founded in the 10th century, and became an important Cluniac monastery in the 12th. Today it is a characterful hotel, but many of the important monastic features remain, in particular the church and the cloister.
